POST WEDDING MARRIAGE LICENSE INFORMATION

Legal paperwork can be so confusing, but we are here to make it simple! Once you are married you will need additional documents that show proof that your Las Vegas wedding is legitimate. These documents aren’t automatically shipped to you because there is a fee for this paperwork that every couple will need. There are three primary documents that are available after your wedding. One EVERYONE will need and the next two are on a case by case basis. Below we explain each document so you can determine which are right for you.

Certified Las Vegas Marriage Certificate | Everyone will need this!

After you are married, you will need this document to change your name and for every other major purpose. Simply put, this is the main document you need. It is required by the DMV, Social Security, INS (Immigration & Naturalization Service) adoption services.

What we can do is order this for you on the day of the wedding for an additional fee and before you know it it will be in your mailbox. All you have to do is add this to your wedding package when you check out. There will be an option for you when you make the reservation.

Certified Las Vegas Marriage License | NOT Everyone will need this!

The Certified Las Vegas Marriage License is required for people who’ve been married more than once and wish to change their name. It is also required for military purposes and INS (Immigration & Naturalization Service) and adoption services. The Certified Las Vegas Marriage License by itself will not serve as proof of your marriage. If you need this document, you will also need the above document, the Certified Las Vegas Marriage Certificate.

What we can do is order this for you on the day of the wedding for an additional fee and before you know it it will be in your mailbox. All you have to do is add this to your wedding package when you check out. There will be an option for you when you make the reservation.

Apostille | ALL Foreign Citizens WILL need this!

An Apostille and a Certified Las Vegas Marriage Certificate are generally accepted as proof of marriage by most countries. However, we recommend you check with your local officials to ensure the right documents are obtained for your marriage to be recognized in your country. A Certified Las Vegas Marriage certificate is required to facilitate the production of an Apostille. For that reason, one is included in the price and comes with your Apostille order.

What we can do is order this for you on the day of the wedding for an additional fee and before you know it it will be in your mailbox. All you have to do is add this to your wedding package when you check out. There will be an option for you when you make the reservation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We done our very best to anticipate every questions that you may have. If we still have not answered your question please feel free to call us at 702-843-0550.

HOW LONG WILL WE BE AT THE CHAPEL?

It depends upon which package and services you have chosen. It is best to get accurate estimates directly from your wedding planner. However, to give you an idea, plan on your departure an hour after the start of your wedding unless you are having a reception or extended photo shoot.

HOW LONG WILL MY CEREMONY LAST?

A wedding or vow renewal ceremony in our private venues last about 10-15 minutes. A drive-thru or walk up window ceremony in the Fast Lane is about 5-10 minutes. Ceremony length may vary according to the services included within the wedding or vow renewal package selected.

MY PACKAGE INCLUDES LIMOUSINE TRANSPORTATION. WHEN AND WHERE WILL WE BE PICKED UP?

Courtesy limousine pick-up times are scheduled approximately 60 minutes before your ceremony. Traffic conditions and weather are taken into consideration when scheduling.

Transportation is only provided to those staying on Las Vegas Boulevard (aka the Strip) between the South Point Hotel and in the Downtown area near Fremont Street. Check with your wedding planner for more details.

After you arrive in Las Vegas, please call or  the chapel at 702-843-0550 with your hotel information and room number. On the ceremony day, the driver will call the hotel room phone to give specific instructions regarding the pick-up location. Since cell phones can be unreliable in the casinos, it is important that we are able to make contact in the hotel room about an hour prior to the scheduled pick-up time.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN THE LIMOUSINE SEAT?

A total of 6 passengers are welcome to ride in the courtesy limousine service. Please note that child seats are required for children under 6. The Chapel can’t provide child seats but information on rental seats is available upon request. We are happy to help with questions on additional limousine or charter services. Please contact the chapel for help with those arrangements. Call 702-843-0550.

WHERE WILL MY GUEST PARK?

There is ample parking directly across the street from the chapel. The lot is metered so advise your guests to bring plenty of quarters. The parking lot is metered from Monday – Saturday until 8pm. Street parking is free on the weekend. Guests may also use the ParkMobil App for street parking, where they can add time from their mobile device and check how much time is remaining on their phones.

Please note that while there are parking lots on the north and east side (behind) of the chapel, these lots are not for chapel patrons. Please do not park in either of these lots or your car may be towed by the lots’ owner.

WHEN WILL I SEE MY PHOTOS?

Most photography is available for review the following day. This includes both package inclusions and any additional photographs taken during a pre-arranged Photography Session. Wedding Packages and Photo Sessions with 45 minutes or more of extended photography require a longer time for final edits; please ask your Wedding Planner for further details. It is our standard practice to schedule photo viewings in the days following your ceremony so the honeymoon celebrations may begin right away! These appointments typically last an hour and must be scheduled in advance.

MAY MY GUEST TAKE PHOTOS.

Allow us to provide you and your guests with a relaxed experience in which everyone can be fully present and enjoy every moment of your special day! It’s easier for the photographer to get around and capture quality images if all the guests remain in their seats. We also find that most couples prefer looking back on their wedding day photos and seeing friends and family smiling with them instead of seeing them hidden behind a cell phone.

For this reason,  like most chapels in Las Vegas, is an “unplugged” chapel where personal photography and videography are not permitted. We thank you in advance for advising your friends and family to be considerate of this policy. Although  we provide an experienced professional photographer to capture all your important wedding moments, you may also choose to purchase a “Media Pass,” which will allow one of your guests to take additional shots during the ceremony. For more details, please contact your wedding planner.

The images included within the ceremony package are provided as high-resolution digital files with copyright release. Don’t worry, we have you covered! Those ceremony images can be shared through email and social media. You may also edit and print as many as you like. This allows your guests to be hands free and present in the moment.

WHAT IF I WANT MORE PHOTOS IN MY WEDDING PACKAGE?

We agree; you absolutely will want more photos and should budget for them accordingly. Our photographers are truly wonderful and we are confident you will enjoy the time you spend with them documenting your big day. It has been our experience that posed photography is preferred. We highly recommend to budget for photography and arrange a professional photo shoot in advance.

We offers a variety of Photography Sessions to match every budget, starting at $95. This is a great addition to further capture the emotion of the day and maximize your experience with our professional wedding photographers. The photographer will spend extra time with you and your guests for some beautiful posed photos in and around the Chapel grounds. Most packages do not include posed images without a pre-arranged photography session. Your personal wedding planner is available to discuss what photo session may be right for you!

Please note: Photography sessions must be arranged in advance of your wedding day.

CAN WE SAY OUR OWN WEDDING VOWS?

Of course! We encourage a personalized ceremony and writing wedding vows are a perfect touch! Just notify your personal wedding planner in advance as as vows must be submitted 2 weeks prior for review and approval. Vows should be kept to about 2-5 lines. It’s important to write vows that reflect your personal relationship. Just remember friends and family might be watching so the content should be appropriate!

DO YOU OFFER A MILITARY DISCOUNT?

The Chapel is proud to offer a $50 discount on any wedding package of $299 or more for all active duty military. Active Duty must be confirmed at the time of booking and we require military ID on the wedding day. We appreciate the service to our country.

MAY WE BRING OUR OWN MUSIC?

Because outside technology and CDs aren’t compatible with our audio system, we offer a personalized music service for $30 to provide the perfect wedding playlist! You can choose up to 3 songs, or 4 if you have a wedding party.

This is when the songs will be played:

  • Wedding Processional
  • Unity Ceremony
  • Exit as Newlyweds
DO WE NEED A WITNESS?

Yes, Nevada requires one witness 18-years of age and older. There is space on your paperwork for up to two witnesses. If you do not have any guests, one of the our chapel employees may serve as your witness at no additional charge.

MAY WE BRING OUR OWN FLOWERS?

The chapel does all floral in house. While we would love to prepare all the floral arrangements for your wedding, we understand a bride may have a special bouquet with sentimental value.

We understand it is your wedding and want to be as accommodating as possible. Please understand that while we do care very much about your experience, we are a business. In order to stay in business and continue providing stellar service, we must charge a fee to allow outside floral. This $100 fee will help cover the minimum potential loss in revenue for the floral shop. In addition to the $100 fee, any floral items that are included in your wedding package will be removed and no credit shall be provided. The chapel is not responsible for any outside floral and we are unable to accept floral deliveries. Thank you for your understanding.

WHAT IF WE WANT TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL?

Rescheduling
We offer one complimentary reschedule, so long as the request is made before your final balance is due. Additional schedule changes will cost $100. Should you choose to indefinitely postpone, your payments will be applicable to your new ceremony date for one year from the date you made the initial reservation.

Cancellations
We have a non-refundable policy on all payments made. Cancellations made seven (7) days before your ceremony will be transferable; see rescheduling details above. Cancellations made within seven (7) days of your ceremony are non-refundable and non-transferable as expenses paid will go towards the cost of your event preparations. Please note that the same policies apply but within a 14-day timeframe for reception packages.

ARE RELIGIOUS AND NON-RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES AVAILABLE?

Yes! Chapel ministers and officiants are licensed to perform non-denominational, religious ceremonies or non-religious (also known as Civil) ceremonies.

If you would like to request a specific type of Minister please contact your personal wedding planner.  We will do our best to accommodate special requests and additional fees may apply.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN MINISTER?

Absolutely! The fee for this is $80, which covers the cost of the minister that the chapel provides to run the equipment during your ceremony, handle your legal paperwork, and complete the certification of your marriage. Should you request to bring in an outside minister, it must be pre-arranged with your planner no less than two weeks prior to your ceremony. Complete contact information for the minister must be provided so we can reach out to them to confirm ceremony details.

HOW MUCH SHOULD WE BUDGET FOR MY MINISTER/OFFICIANT?

Depending on your venue and package, the fee for the minister ranges from $40 to $80.  This fee is separate from and in addition to the cost of your ceremony package and will automatically be included in the package costs.  We handle the coordination, legal paperwork, and certification of your marriage.

You are welcome and encouraged to provide an additional donation or gratuity on the day of services. This additional donation/gratuity can be given directly to your Minister/Officiant or added to your Wedding costs, commensurate with the services received.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES OR GRATUITIES?

A surcharge of 19% will be added to all balances due. The surcharge includes tips, gratuities, filing & recording fees, permits, coordination & supervision fees, clean-up/set-up costs, duplication & copy fees, applicable fees (including but not limited to payroll, property, employment, fuel & communication fees), commissions & bonuses, credit card & bank fees, licensing fees, etc.

In addition, a Minister/Officiant Fee will be added to all Wedding and Vow Renewal Packages. This fee is separate from, and in addition to, the cost of your package and will automatically be included in the package costs. The fee amount is based on the venue and package selected and will typically range from $40 to $80. You are welcome and encouraged to provide an additional donation or gratuity on the day of services.
